Hello Dear One!

 

Does this seem like a crazy question to ask someone?

 

Doesn't EVERYONE like pizza??

 

PRETTY MUCH!

 

Why ever would one assume someone didn't?

 

Because they don't regularly EAT it!

 

I was asked this weeks ago and it made me laugh.

 

Pizza is super delicious AND kind of the WORST for your waistline.

 

 

 

 

 

Pizza is super high in carbs and fat, low in protein, high in calories, and it's EASY to eat TONS and still be hungry soon after.

 

Pizza is the carb rich, savory equivalent of ice cream (same exact deal honestly).

 

Do we all LOVE ice cream?

 

Pretty much!

 

But because something TASTES amazing BUT does pretty devastating things to our waistline (and health) - electing to have it RARELY or SPARINGLY is SMART.

 

 

And so it is for me.

 

And I invite you to do the same.

 

These items (as well as others) pretty much promise failure (if eaten regularly) if weight loss and improved health are your goals.

 

It's super hard to eat a small amount, and once you start to eat them on the regular it's EASY to want them ALL the time.

 

So what to do around food that's UNDENIABLY delicious AND detrimental?

 

GET AWAY from it in general.

 

Don't have it at your home.

 

When PIZZA is the meal of the moment - have it ALONGSIDE other things (Greek salad with chicken is my favorite way to do it.  AND please START with the salad.)

 

EAT BEFORE the event where pizza is the offered meal. (really, really).

 

OR if YOU really want pizza - have the pizza that you LOVE (homemade or from your favorite establishment), and have it alongside more protein.

 

OR MAKE an alternative that is SO much more supportive.

AND/or additionally figure out what you LOVE about pizza (the crust, the cheese, pepperoni, flavor, something being quick, handheld...)
