Hello Dear One!

 

I almost feel a little ridiculous talking about my FINGERNAILS, but what's clear is that they're in a state that's desirable to many.

 

I never think about my nails.

 

I might have had a manicure ONCE (pedicures are a different story), and I never do anything SPECIFICALLY for my nails.

And despite that my nails are LONG, STRONG, smooth and lovely.

 

They're like box cutters!

 

I use them like extensions of my fingers and when they break it's for that reason alone (too much load).

 

Since they're looking so great and there is a probably a BILLION dollar industry around NAILS I thought to share my tips and what I know helps in the effort.

 

From the top down:

 

 

 

1. SUPPLEMENTATION

 

Always and forever.

 

If you want some aspect of your body and health to improve, be prevented, or be maintained FOREVER - start at the cellular level.

 

AND don't start with the tiny superficial aspect you'd like to improve.

 

Support the whole system and have the esthetic element in focus become beautified as a result.

 

I take a LOT supplement wise, but the ones I credit for my nail health are probably:

 

Cellsentials = my multi (supports ALL systems of the body, plus was actually formulated to help with nails and hair)

 

- MagneCal = supports BONE HEALTH (and apparently nail health can be a reflection of that)

 

- BiOmega (fish oil who's omega 3's support all the superficial stuff as well as EVERY CELL IN THE BODY).

 

I don't regularly use collagen (I'm inconsistent, but I don't think it's a bad idea - but I've found these other things to be more important).

 

 

2. STRESS

 

Surprised?!  I have to own when I'm STRESSED my nails get shitty fast!

 

They become thinner and break more easily.

 

It's kind of crazy.

 

So if you're rationalizing sucking up an ever present sense of tension and foreboding - it's NEVER worth it.

 

And your nails can be like a canary in a coal mine.

 

Do stuff that helps you feel calmer/lighter/brighter overall and you'll benefit from LEGIT self care that actually attends to your overall well being.

 

 

3. NAIL CARE

 

I file my nails periodically and as they get longer I paint them with clear polish.

 

Done.

 

Non toxic polish would be BEST (as this stuff is being absorbed to some degree) but I've found that a coat or 2 of a clear varnish makes me not have to be a PRO at painting and it tends to help my nails weather my rough and tumble treatment and break less.

I NEVER think about my nails.

 

And you shouldn't either.

 

Think about your overall health (cellular nutrition), your overall well being (stress), and periodic beautification (swipe of a file and a coat of clear polish) to have long, strong, sexy, HEALTHY nails.

 

For women who have BIG JOBS and responsibilities I don't know how you fit one more appointment in - and with nails it's probably FREQUENT and COSTLY.

 

My encouragement is to invest your dollars and time BETTER.

 

Get the above mentioned supplements for BIG TIME health amplification and prevention - and BE CONSISTENT with taking them.

 

INCONSISTENCY = INEFFECTIVE.

 

And inconsistency is also a GREAT way to waste money.

 

Reduce stress by MOVING when you have pops of panic or rage (moves sugar out of blood stream = store less belly fat AND feel calmer) and prioritize feeling good. 

 

As asinine as that might sound it's ALWAYS an option. 

 

Focus on things that feel good - people, things, pets, comedy, hobbies, anything. 

 

You feeling good is actually the only thing that matters and a better existence will stem from there. 

 

And that's a FACT.

 

Do the minimum of nail care creating what actually looks like a beautiful NATURAL French manicure.

 

You do not need to be a slave to chemicals, UV light (That's AGING your hands!!), or TIME to have nails that you love.

 

Start today and create something you adore that is a result of you feeding your cells optimal nutrition and of you treating yourself lovingly and well.
