We had a great talk last week about why weight loss IS tyoically harder after 40, AND what enables it to not be.

 

We also discussed how our major milestone hormonal shift point can set us up for a landscape that is compromised health wise (decreased muscle mass, lowered metabolism, higher cortisol, more visceral fat, increased insulin resistance, and a lowered ability to create energy).

 

Versus a system that spirals in an opposite and upward direction (maintained/increased muscle mass, lowered cortisol, less visceral fat, increased insulin sensitivity, stronger and more abundant mitochondria = more energy).

 

One lovely lady who attended shared how FRUSTRATING it is to hear panic and conflicting advice around what to do after 40 (especially as a woman).

 

I get it.

 

My goal is to EXPLAIN more about how we work so it's clearer on WHY you'd chose one thing over another.

 

I believe this talk will be helpful for many in that effort.

I started to put this together AGES ago, and when I did I realized that it was basically my life's work.

 

It's really everything I know from every discipline I've studied and mastered:

- massage therapy = pain management

- kettlebells = strength and injury prevention

- USANA = cellular health and prevention of degeneration

- Fat Burning = weight loss, optimal health and longevity

 

I'm going to start slowly as my highest concern and wish is for this thing to be incredibly valuable, easy to use and navigate, relied on OFTEN as your outlet for foundational and optimal health, and to keep Fat Burning top of mind FOREVER.

This week had so much good news!
 
 
And truthfully some of what was shared and experienced reminded me of exactly why I LOVE what I do.
 
 
J broke 170 lbs. She’s now down 23.7 lbs in just over 11 weeks — and she’s still losing over 2 lbs a week. AMAZING!
 
Our brainless  protocol is working. Her metabolism has been rebuilt. And this is what fat adaptation looks like - especially when there is stress and less than ideal stuff going on.
 
 
 
 
M hit 136.8 this week. That’s 46.5 lbs down in 6 months — averaging 1.75 lbs a week. STILL. at month 6.
 
And she said something that stopped me in my tracks and get wide eyed:
 
“Some of us are at our best at 47.”
 
Hell to the YES.
 
 
 
 
 
C is down 11.3 lbs in 9 weeks, averaging 1.25 lbs a week.
 
 
 
And ANOTHER - J’s clothes are fitting way better!
 
“Feeling more confident, little by little.”
 
Little by little is how the big stuff happens.
 
 
 
One client texted me this morning:
 
“I know I haven’t thanked you enough, but I really appreciate you getting me back on track. I was feeling so happy this morning thinking about my accomplishments.”
 
Yay!! I read that multiple times and each time it made me beam.
 
 
 
And then Again there’s M who woke up at 7am wide awake with tons of energy — not from caffeine, not from adrenaline — because she’s FASTing! 
 
That energy? That’s your her body CHURNING through fat and making HIGH OCTANE energy from ketones.
 
When your Mitochondria have been repaired & rebuilt to run on fat you’re more able to do crazy shiz safely. Like go for 2 days withOUT eating, & have even more energy than if you had.
 
 
 
 
We also welcomed a brand new Fat Burner to the fold this week — so excited for her to begin!
 
 
 
I’ve been slowly compiling Fat Burner Favorites in a recipe book that’ll be connected to a membership. 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
And I got to put one of my huge super sexy Levain bakery cookies to great use on my carb feast day as a pre lift assist. 
 
Functional food at it’s best!
 
 
 
And we held our “Stuck in Storage?” free training — and a great group of women showed who were done being told to just eat less and move more.
 
(Which hasn’t been working anyway!)
 
They came ready. They stayed engaged.
 
They left with an awareness they didn’t have before.
