Trust the Expert

Hello Dear One!
Are you also feeling confused with all the conflicting information that’s circling currently especially around women’s health?
You are definitely not alone if so.
I just thought to share a couple tidbits that fly in the face of some things that have been thrown my way regarding intermittent fasting not being good for women, or women being compromised if they work out in a fasted state.

Recently, I thought to use ChatGPT to get a little more of a sense of my body and also what might be appropriate for me at this moment in time.
Everything is different for Fat Burners versus Sugar Burners, in my opinion, as we simply have more reserves to run off of, and we have greater bandwidth on not relying on carbohydrates.
What I loved about this reflection from ChatGPT was, though I did state the fact that I do intermittent fasting, workout fasted, only eat one meal a day, have regular and strategic carb feasts - it first told me I should only have those refeed meals every 4 to 6 weeks.
Which was absolutely laughable.
When I shared how frequently I do have my carb feasts, it simply readjusted its tune and told me that what I was doing was clearly working and to keep it up.
I also love that I found this video by a scientist whose focus has been insulin.
I love that he brought to light that there have been so few studies done on women working out fasted and the ones that have happened didn’t show a difference regarding their performance.
I also love that he encouraged the individual to do what was best based on their body.
If you work out better with some food on your stomach, then you should eat.
If you prefer to work out before you eat, do that.
Hence, the title to this blog post - Trust the Expert.
And the expert is YOU.
If what you’re currently doing isn’t working, get some guidance around a potentially better way.
But if you have solid data from experience, validating a different opinion than one that you’re currently hearing – trust the expert.
Which will always be you regarding your body
Whatever information we’re hearing from the world may or may not be true for us.
And the best way to assess whether or not it is is to test it out.
Your experience will always be an accurate determinant of what is true and what is not.
Sometimes we need to refine the factors in that experiment to get a true read, but otherwise let your findings stand.
So if you have felt confused or frustrated, reduce the number of choices you are giving yourself and try one of these concepts out and see how it treats you.
If it works for you great!
And if it doesn’t, say, "Thank you so much and goodbye.".
Hope that was useful and a bit fortifying regarding clearing the clutter of chaos and misinformation at the very least pertaining to you.
