When to Eat Crappy Food

Hello Dear One!

 

I'd love to walk you through a different way to think when deciding to eat something.

 

Or NOT.

 

My personal belief, and what also exists in Fat Burning PRO with Carb Feasts, is that EVERYTHING should have a time and a place on the table - should you desire.

 

Pizza is delicious. 

 

Fried food is delicious. 

 

Pasta and cake and cookies are all DELICIOUS!

 

But we MAY not wish to be eating them ALL the time.

 

I tell my Fat Burners that if they really want to eat ____ - EAT IT!

 

If we can get creative about a more supportive option - GREAT!

 

If we can hang on a day or so until our carb feast to have it - GREAT!

 

And if we really want it then - GREAT!  Have it!

 

Where we get tripped up is when we have CRAPPY FOOD (or food that is NOT helpful in having what we ultimately desire for our waistline and health) when we actually DON'T want it.

 

We have opportunities to have less ideal, or even garbage food (sorry not sorry), ALL the time.

 

Especially at events, any given restaurant, or with FRIENDS and FAMILY.

 

 

Just tonight I'm seeing a group of girlfriends who I love and have know for AGES.

 

We get together periodically and FOOD and DRINK is always a part of it.

 

The suggestion to get Thai food has been put on the table.

 

For someone to being dessert. 

 

For others to bring wine...  

 

All GREAT if that's what someone wants.

 

That person is NOT ME. 

 

TONIGHT.

 

It would be so easy to have a bit of a gustatory bender for me this weekend (SO MANY DAYS) as pizza happened Thursday, a croissant along with mac and cheese was consumed yesterday, and brunch and an early birthday dinner will be happening tomorrow.

 

JE-SUS!

 

All ok!  But not for the stuff I don't actually want.

 

By me NOT EATING OR DRINKING  with my girlfriends tonight I actually feel BETTER in my body and about myself.

 

If I was excited about these things - I would do them.

 

But because I'm not I won't.

 

Does this make sense??

 

The ability to sustainably lose or maintain weight is not enabled by all or nothing thinking.

 

It's enabled by having a PLAN first if you really need help, and then it's supported by conscious choices. 

 

Every day.

 

And sometimes those conscious choices involve vegan pepperoni pizza at the restaurant you've wanted to eat at forEVER with a good girlfriend. 

 

OR sexy birthday Mac and Cheese made for you by a client. 

 

Or a croissant sandwich from your networking event because it looked and smelled GOOD...

 

And then I know I'll be so excited about delectable brunch offerings tomorrow (I may even have a Bloody Mary as that seems FUN!) as well as CAKE(S = plural) from Pastiche for a double birthday dinner (my brother's and my own) Sunday night!

 

So for all THOSE things I'm SUPER inclined to indulge.

 

But to eat Thai food, sweets, and wine tonight when I still have so much deliberate, deliciously prepared, QUALITY FOOD in front of me would feel gross.

 

Crappy, cheap, carb rich, protein deplete, riddled with sugar food.

 

No thank you.

 

So I invite you to do the same.

 

How you feel is important.

 

Food is fuel.  And fuel that impacts how we look, function, and feel.

 

It can be SO pleasurable.

 

But when it's NOT off the charts OR useful for you to any degree...

 

Please say no.

 

Have something supportive on your own.

 

Join in the fun while already being FULL.

 

Let others have their fill.

 

Stay connected to the merriment and yourself while feeling GREAT in your body and about yourself.

 

Hope that was useful.

 

Truth is it's the easiest, and becomes the most OBVIOUS, thing to do once you think about things this way and reinforce it with practice.

 

We CAN eat EVERYTHING at any given time.

 

The frequency and amount are what matters.

 

So just choose it when you want it, and pass when you don't.

 

You deserve that.
